Meet your lecturers
Kerry is the Childcare sector lead and is a qualified lecturer with an extensive career both as a childcare lecturer and practitioner. She has gained a range of qualifications relevant to her roles in childcare, including a Foundation Degree when working as a Deputy Manager. Kerry is committed to ensuring that all students share her passion for early years, something she says was cemented as a life-long one during her time as a Deputy Manager. Kerry focuses on not only ensuring students have the skills and knowledge required to succeed, but also that they have the confidence to be an integral part of their nursery team when becoming qualified.
Katy is also a course lecturer alongside Kerry Clayton. Katy has a strong history of lecturing and teaching and also as a childcare practitioner. This has included roles at day nurseries and within schools in support based roles. Katy is passionate about high-quality early years care and education, and has also worked on a voluntary basis within playgroups. Before moving into a lecturing role, Katy was an assessor for childcare courses, meaning students are offered a unique blend of direct experience and support to achieve the very best in their studies.
